My name is Deborah Sedem Nyamuame. I’m from Ghana, but I call many places home.

I do so many things, it was hard to put it all in one website — but I think I made it work. To sum it up, my passion is to deliver meaningful work, brought to life through creativity and critical thinking.

I studied design, web, marketing, and critical theory. I also love to create music, fashion, and videography. It may seem random, but for me it comes naturally, and I’m so lucky I get to make them all work together and create fun projects that I am proud of.

This is the original dream, something I’ve been doing for as long as I can remember. I spent a few years uploading music and deleting it whenever it got some attention. Now I’m back at it for good, and I’ll be sharing new songs soon!

After completing the California College of the Arts’ graphic design program, I moved to Accra, Ghana where I worked in a design firm then a marketing agency.

These experiences have helped me understand my goal as a designer: I want to find innovative and beautiful design and marketing solutions for people and brands I believe in. Freelancing part-time with agencies and small businesses has given me the opportunity to continue to grow and learn as a designer, with experience in many industries.

I then moved to Canada where I completed the University of Waterloo’s Masters in Digital Experience Innovation program, and I am currently the Senior Web Designer at MEDA as I continue to freelance.

Strategist

I founded Out Loud Studio in June 2017 in order to expand my services for my personal clientele. It has allowed me to dive further into using new media to tell brands’ stories and amplify their identities.

I lead a team of creatives into creating and implementing and unique marketing strategies, focused on digital content and expanding into event management.
